Crochet to Enhance Your Knitting Workshop!

If you’re making the patchwork sweater (and who isn’t), this is the workshop for you!

Wednesday, August 11th from 6 -7:30

&

Thursday, August 12th from 2 -3:30

This class will cover a few basic crochet stitches and crochet techniques to enhance your knitting.  Seaming, adding borders, and combinations of stitches to create accents on your knitted items will be covered.

Materials:

Yarn: scraps of smooth worsted weight in light colors.

Needles: size 7 or 8 (or any size that is appropriate to the yarn), straight or circulars

Crochet hook: size G or H (we sell them).

Homework:

Create a total of 6 swatches in stockinette stitch (knit on RS rows, purl on WS rows).  Work your swatches over 36 stitches and 40 rows, then steam them.  Bring to class several balls of leftover yarn.
